Krauss Maffei Pultrusion : iPul

A decades old technology of a "pulling motion and the preceding extrusion process" has been reimagined and rethought by KM while impregnating with Polyurethane ! The process involves soaking the fibers (glass, carbon or aramide with the matrix material like polyurethane or epoxy takes place directly and continually in the injection box. This allows systems with higher reactivity to be processed. These systems can be selectively configured to match the property patterns of the end product.

Compared to the existing pultrusion technology which uses polyester or vinylester, KM Pultrusion allows more deign flexibility, low wall thickness, better mechanical property, higher speeds (3 mtrs per minute against 0.5 to max. 1.5m / min !)
